FAQs
Are sessions online only?
Yes, for now all sessions will be conducted online. I’ll send simple joining instructions before we meet.
Is online therapy effective?
Yes! Many people value the comfort, privacy and flexibility. It can be just as effective as in-person for a wide range of concerns.
How often will we meet?
Most clients find weekly sessions helpful to build momentum. We can review frequency as we go.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone’s different. Some people come for 6–12 sessions around a focused goal; others prefer open-ended work. We’ll decide together.
What if I’m not sure what I need yet?
That’s completely okay. The consultation is a great place to start; no pressure, just a friendly chat.
Will I have homework?
Only if it’s useful for you. I may offer simple exercises, reflections or mindfulness practices between sessions which are always optional.
Will our sessions be confidential?
Always. I follow BACP ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards. I’ll explain any limits to confidentiality (e.g., immediate risk) in our first session. All data is stored in compliance with data protection law (GDPR) and ICO registration requirements.
Do you work with people who have experienced trauma?
Yes. We’ll go gently and at your pace, focusing on safety and steadiness before exploring difficult material.
What do I need to access an online session?
You just need a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device (smart phone or laptop) with a camera and mic. Headphones can help with privacy.
How much do you charge?
The initial 20-minute consultation is complimentary.
A standard session (50 minutes): £40 (online)
Payment & cancellations:
Payment is due on the day of your session by bank transfer. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full session fee. Receipts available on request.
What if we speak and I change my mind?
That’s absolutely okay. The 20-minute consultation is free and no-obligation. You can decide not to proceed, no pressure and no hard feelings.
If you’ve already booked a full session, you’re still free to pause, stop, or choose a different therapist at any time. Just let me know. My only ask is that you give 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid the session fee.
